Santa is a busy Man

So, here it is 12:13AM Christmas Eve Eve and Santa is so tired, but must get the toys and gifts all in order. There is much wrapping and taping and building that must get done, and yet I sit here precratinating............ Haha....a blog post I started and never posted...oh I wish I would have finished this :)

Blogging again :)

WOW, I sure have been away for a long time. I read many blogs daily and have decided to begin blogging again. I have kind of missed it. I love to write and use it as a stress reliever. Since I love to write anyway, I thought to myself" you need to start back on your blog" So here I am.... A lot has happened since my last blog, but I won't bore you with the details. I will just post the hightlights. This fall my son tried a new sport for him, football. This was a huge change since all he has played is baseball. I remember the first thing the coach said to me. "Does he play baseball?" "Yes" I said. " What posistion?" asked the coach. "Pitcher, why?" I asked. "Well we need to teach him to throw not like a pitcher...he needs to use soft hands, not pitcher hands" said the coach. We found out fast this was going to be a huge challenge for him, but a challenge he would do great in. He played like he had played before. While it isn't his sport of choice, he enjoyed trying something new and enjoyed the challenge. He also started middle school and decided to join the band. He plays the trumpet and I have to say he is pretty good. My little boy is growing up so fast. I'm excited that baseball is right around the corner for him!!! Our little girl turned three....wow THREE?!?!! It seems like she was just born. Where did the past three years go...I guess we should say he is closer to being four. Two months and she will be FOUR....OMG!!!!!! She started dance in the fall. She is taking ballet, tap and jazz. She loves to dance and puts on "shows" for us all the time. She is my little spit fire. Our year was also filled with sadness. We lost my father in law in July...fairly sudden. I learned a lot about myself, my husband, and life in general in the week after his death. I did things I thought I would never have to do. I learned just how strong I am and what my breaking point was. I have seen several people die in my lifetime (I was an EMT) but I have to say watching your love one die is so sureal. I had many mixed emotions...I wanted to cry,but felt I had to be strong for my husband. I wanted to scream at my father-in-law and ask him to fight harder, I also wanted to hold his hand and tell him it was okay to go. You never know what experiences you will have in life, but you just have to take them and do the best you can. Life doesn't have a users manual. Our year ended with a quiet night at home...we watched the ball drop in Time's square on TV. My daughter and I danced in New Year's. We toasted with sparkling blue berry cider and blew noise makers. I cannot think of a better way to end one year and begin another. So one of my New Year's Resolutions is to blog every day or at least every other day...doesn't matter if people read it or not, but it is something that makes me happy and I need to be happier in 2013 :) Until tomorrow....xoxox

Until next time......XOXO Gossip Mommy~

Such a proud Mommy

Wow, I know it has been a long time since I have been on here, but I have been crazy busy to say the least. Today, I am so proud of my son. We received his progress report today. Math A+ (102%) Writing A+ (101%) Science A (96%) Reading B (90%) and Social Studies C (83%) I am not too worried about the C...he is in 3rd grade and he said "I'll bring it up before my report card...I am going to get on honor roll" so, so proud of him! he works soooooo hard :)

I'm a Mommy again!!!!

Wow....I am on day 4 of being a Mommy to two children and all I can do is be amazed. My baby girl was born Friday. I am still trying to come to terms that I have a baby girl! We didn't find out what sex we would be having ahead of time, which made this pregnancy so fun. We would have to come up with two names, buy all stuff that could be for a boy or girl. What fun!!

I was induced Friday around 8:15, my water broken at 1:15 and our little princess was born at 3:06. Talk about things happening fast..wow did they ever.

I love the fact that our son is so protective of his baby sister. When we were in the hospital, he wanted to know who you were and what you were doing before you could even touch his sister. He even told the pediatrician she couldn't touch her umbilical cord. We had to, of course, explain to him that she was his sister's doctor and it was okay for her to touch it.

I am sure this blog will have many follow ups....but right now, I am off to bed.....very very shortly :) Until next time.....

What's new with me....with us

Well, I haven't posted a blog for awhile, so let me update you on life at the Kidd household. We found out today we are getting really close to baby number two. Yep, dilated 1cm....now I know I could stay like this for weeks, but I am really feeling liek the baby is coming very very soon.
Ethian is doing good in school. His progress report was very good. All S's and S+'s!! Yes, Mommy and Daddy are very proud. He has baseball tryouts on Sunday, and we pray he gets to stay with his team....but it seems like the league has other plans of spliting the team up. We will see what happens, no need to stress over it. We finally have the baby's room done! So, the baby can come any day now!!! YAY~!! Randall and I have been busy with work. Other than that, nothing new to report.
